On 1/13/2017 at approximately 11:14 pm, Christopher A Mann, was stopped in the area of CR 3 and Lantz Blvd for a traffic violation and was found to be operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Christopher A Mann failed field sobriety tests and submitted to a certified chemical breath test with a result of .196 BRAC at 11:56 pm. Christopher A Mann was incarcerated at the Elkhart County Jail for operating while intoxicated and for operating with a license status of Habitual Traffic Violator.

On 01/13/2017 around 4:57 PM at a residence in the 55000 block of Spring Run, it was reported that Jeffrey Menke had become angry and grabbed a female by the shirt collar and started shaking her causing discomfort in breathing and redness around her neck. The victim also reported Jeffery Menke followed her as she was trying to exit the residence and pushed her against the wall causing pain to the back of her head. Jeffrey Menke was incarcerated at the Elkhart County Jail for Domestic Battery and Strangulation.

On January 13, 2017 at approximately 10:31pm, William Wright, 28, was stopped in the area of CR 20 and SR 19, for a traffic violation. William Wright failed field sobriety tests and had a certified chemical breath test with a result of .081 BRAC at 10:59pm. William Wright was incarcerated at the Elkhart County Jail for operating while intoxicated-misdemeanor.

On 1/14/17 at about 12:07am Kyle Gilson was stopped for a traffic violation on US 33 at Peddlers Village Rd.  Kyle Gilson fled the scene in his vehicle in which he crashed his vehicle at the intersection of CR 19 and US 20.  Kyle Gilson was incarcerated for resisting law enforcement and reckless driving.

On 1/14/2017 at approximately 2:26 AM Brian S Valladares, 19, was stopped while walking in the area of CR 17 and Hanover Dr.  Brian Valladares was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages while under the age of 21.  Brian Valladares was incarcerated at the Elkhart County Jail for Illegal Consumption of Alcohol.

On January 14, 2017 at approximately 7:09am, James Voreis (29), was stopped on US 20, east of US 33 for a traffic violation. James Voreis was found to have a driver's license status of suspended-prior, with a prior conviction for driving while suspended-prior within ten years. James Voreis was incarcerated for driving while suspended-prior.

On 1/14/2017 at around 10:10 am in the 21000 block of Angela Drive, it was reported that Alexander Kleinsmith, 31, grabbed a male by his shirt, pushed him down, and strangled him around the neck. The victim reported losing consciousness while being strangled and sustained visible cuts to his right hand and ear..Alexander Kleinsmith was taken custody where he was transported to Elkhart County Correctional Complex and booked on preliminary charges of battery, intimidation, and strangulation.

On 1/14/2017 at approximately 9:24 pm, Nellie Gongora, 33, was stopped in the area of Bristol St and CR 5 for traffic violations. Nellie Gongora was found to be driving while suspended prior and provided false identity information to police. Nellie Gongora was incarcerated for misdemeanor charges of false informing and driving while suspended prior.

On 01/15/2017 at approximately 4:44am, Ariel Escobedo (25), was stopped on US 20 west of US 33 for unsafe lane movement. Ariel Escobedo was found to be intoxicated and failed standard field sobriety tests as well as a certified breath test with a result of .158 BrAC. Ariel Escobedo was incarcerated for operating while intoxicated.

On 01/13/2017 at 08:34 a.m., it was reported between 01/12/2017 at 10:00 p.m. and 01/13/2017 at 04:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) stole rims and tires from the 30000 block of Wren St., Elkhart, IN.

On 1/13/2017 at 4:22pm a theft was reported in the 28000 block of CR 24, two vehicle windows had been broken out. An unknown suspect had entered both locked vehicles, and stole two purses between 2:40pm and 3:15pm.

On 1/14/17 at approximately 8:15am an auto theft was reported in the 59000 block of Park Shore Dr. Sometime between 1/13/17 at 8:00pm and 1/14/17 at 8:00am a suspect stole black 2006 Jeep Commander from the driveway.

On 1/14/2017 at approximately 7:00pm, a burglary was reported in the 58000 block of Old CR 17. The burglary occurred between 01/13/2017 and 01/14/2017 at which time multiple items were taken from the residence. Entry was made through a rear sliding door, which was forced open.
