FATAL CRASH PRESS RELEASE
On this date, 03/26/2018 at approximately 9:24PM, a motor vehicle crash involving an occupant of the vehicle was reported on East Landis Avenue (County Rt. 540) west of North Lincoln Avenue. A 2005 silver in color Honda Pilot driven by Vanessa Moreno was traveling westbound on East Landis Avenue just west of the Landis Shoprite entrance located at 3600 East Landis Avenue. The rear passenger, identified as 27 year old Joseph Gonzalez, was sitting behind the driver’s seat and he jumped out of the moving vehicle and was struck by the moving vehicle as a result. It was learned that a verbal dispute had ensued between both parties prior to the crash occurring. Gonzalez was airlifted from the scene and taken to Cooper Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries. The investigation is being conducted and is ongoing by Officer John Gabrielle of the Vineland Police Department’s Patrol Division.
