On August 17th, 2019 at approximately 11:51PM, members of the Vineland Police Department were dispatched to the area of East Chestnut Avenue and South Eighth Street in regards to a serious motor vehicle crash involving one vehicle.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 1991 Toyota Camry operated by Reinaldo Andujar, age 54 of the 100 block of South West Avenue, Vineland was traveling eastbound on East Chestnut Avenue when his vehicle left the roadway, struck a utility pole, and ultimately colliding with a building at 801 East Chestnut Avenue. The driver was airlifted to Cooper University Medical Center, but succumbed to his injuries on August 24th, 2019.
