Vineland Police Department Criminal Division Press Release
The
Vineland Police Department Detective Bureau is currently investigating a Home
Invasion/Attempted Homicide that occurred in the 1000 block of Sunset Ave. on
10/1/2019 at approximately 3:43 am. During the course of this incident, A 22
year old male resident was shot one time in the facial area and a family dog
was also shot and killed. A female resident who was inside the home at the time
was uninjured. The male resident was treated by Vineland EMS and later
transported to Cooper Medical Center where he is currently in critical but
stable condition.
Detectives have been in the area conducting the
investigation and gathering evidence from the scene since the incident
occurred. There is currently no description of the accused subject(s) to release. Detectives are currently looking to speak with anyone in the area of
Sunset Ave, N. Mill Rd. and Pine Grove Ave who may have video surveillance during
the time in question. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Vineland
Police Detective Bureau using the following methods.
