Suspect Arrested Twice Including for Assault with a Weapon

October 25, 2019
On October 24, 2019, a man was arrested for the second time within
several hours after continually returning to the Atlantic City Convention
Center including one instance where he assaulted a security guard.
On October 23 at 8:19 pm, patrol officers responded to the
Convention Center for a man that was trespassing and had damaged property. A New Jersey Transit police officer had
arrested Jalil Ceaser and he was turned over to Atlantic City police
officers. Ceaser was criminally charged
and released on a summons from the Public Safety Building at 1:25 am.
Less than 40 minutes later, Ceaser returned to the Convention
Center. He approached the on-duty
security guard, struck him in the face with an object, and then fled. The victim, a 57-year-old man was transported
to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, with a serious injury
to his eye.
At 3:36 am, patrol officers responded to the Convention
Center after Ceaser returned and again damaged property. K9 Officer Anthony Grajales-Prado and his K9
partner Chase arrived to find Ceaser holding a large piece of wood. Ceaser surrendered to K9 Chase and was taken
into custody without incident.
ARRESTED: Jalil
Ceaser, a 34-year-old man from Atlantic City.
CHRAGES: Aggravated
assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, criminal mischief, and defiant
trespass.
Ceaser was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
