Wife Charged After Stabbing Husband and Herself

A woman was arrested after stabbing her husband and then herself.
On December 11, 2019 at 9:38 am, patrol officers responded to the Golden Nugget Atlantic City in reference to a man and woman that were found stabbed in a hotel room. Security initially responded to the room after receiving a call reporting an argument.
Officers and medical personnel were led to the hotel room where a husband and wife had sustained serious injuries from stab wounds.
An investigation conducted by detectives of the Street Crimes Unit determined that the wife, Majocyline Tan, had stabbed her husband, 72, multiple times and then stabbed herself. Both were transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, with serious injuries, however, they are expected to survive.
ARRESTED: Majocyline Tan, a 64-year-old woman from Edison, NJ.
CHARGES: Attempted murder, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Tan is currently under police guard at the medical center.
