Suspect Arrested After Stabbing Landlord

On February 24, 2020, an Atlantic City man was arrested after
stabbing his landlord during an altercation.
At 3:10 pm, Officers Brendan Andros and Maria Borsani
responded to a rooming house in the beach block of Ocean Avenue for a man
stabbed. Officers arrived to locate the
victim, a 63-year-old man from Atlantic City and landlord for the building,
suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Officers were told that the suspect, Roland Rymarz, was still inside the
building. The officers entered the
building, arrested Rymarz without incident and recovered the knife used in the
attack.
The victim confronted Rymarz after being told that he was
lighting off fireworks inside the building.
Rymarz grew agitated and stabbed the victim. The victim was transported to the AtlantiCare
Regional Medical Center, City Division, to be treated for his injuries.
ARRESTED: Roland
Rymarz, a 42-year-old man from Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Aggravated
assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an
unlawful purpose.
Rymarz was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
