Two Juvenile Males Arrested After Stabbing
For Immediate Release:
March 19, 2020
On March 18, 2020, two teenagers were arrested after a man
was stabbed during an altercation.
At 2:16 pm, patrol officers responded to the 1700 block of
Atlantic Avenue for a report of a stabbing.
Officer Matthew Talavera, who was on foot patrol in the area, quickly
arrived and observed several males involved in an altercation. The victim, a 58-year-old man from Atlantic
City, was involved in the altercation and had sustained stab wounds. The other two males, both 17-years-old,
fled. Officer Talavera chased one male
and apprehended him. Officers Rick Lasco
and Mailon Demby apprehended the other male.
A knife was recovered in a parking lot after it was discarded.
The victim was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional
Medical Center, City Division, for treatment of his injuries.

17-yaer-old male from Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Aggravated
assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, obstruction of
justice, resisting arrest, conspiracy, and possession of a controlled dangerous
substance.

justice, resisting arrest, and conspiracy.
Both males were remanded to the Harborfields Detention Facility.
