Eight Arrested During Surveillance Operation

On July 9, 2020, detectives of the Special Investigations
Section with assistance from the Tactical Operations Unit conducted a
surveillance operation in the 1400 block of Memorial Avenue and surrounding
area. The operation was in response to
complaints from residents and businesses concerning narcotics possession and distribution
and quality of life issues within the block.
As a result, five men and three women were arrested. Detectives recovered 150 bags of heroin and 27
grams of cocaine. The operation was led
by Detective Ermindo Marsini.
ARRESTED: Shakur Aubid, 25, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS, possession with intent to
distribute CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a
public zone, and conspiracy.
ARRESTED: Juana Boehler, 55, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS.
ARRESTED: Curtis Drinks, 24, of Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
CHARGES: Two counts of possession of CDS, and single
counts of possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession with intent to
distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public zone, and conspiracy.
ARRESTED: Iyon McKinley, 20, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS, possession with intent to
distribute CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a
public zone, and conspiracy.
ARRESTED: Nereida Rosario, 45, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS.
ARRESTED: Natasia Sam, 19, of Vineland, NJ.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS, possession with intent to
distribute CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of
a public zone, and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
The above individuals were released on a summons with a
future court date.
ARRESTED: Bobby Barley, 60, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS and contempt of court.
ARRESTED: Derrick Ellis, 40, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Obstruction of justice, resisting
arrest, possession of CDS paraphernalia, and contempt of court.
The above individuals were remanded to the Atlantic County
Justice Facility.
