On 10-08-2020 during early morning hours, Officers of the Brooklyn Park Police Department were dispatched to the call of a slumper in the 6300-blk of Boone Ave N. Officers located the vehicle and found that the driver was slumped over and possibly impaired. The driver of the vehicle awoke and refused to obey commands to identify himself or step out from the vehicle. The driver suddenly put the vehicle in drive and began ramming police squad cars. The suspect then drove towards police officers who were out of their cars on foot. The officers jumped out of the way while the suspect sped off. The suspect crashed a short distance away and an area search was conducted using a K9. The suspect was not located. There is no known danger to the public. This incident is under further investigation.
