UPDATE to June Shooting- One Wanted, One Charged

The Atlantic City Police Department is seeking the public’s
assistance in locating a man wanted for his involvement in the shooting of two
men in June. An accomplice is also
charged.
An investigation conducted by detectives of the Violent Crimes
Unit into the shooting resulted in charges being filed against Kareem Wiley and
Randy Acosta. Wiley has not been
arrested. He is a Black male, six feet
tall, weighs 140 pounds and frequents Philadelphia, PA.
Acosta was delivered his charges at the Atlantic County Justice
Facility where he is being held after being charged in two other shootings.
The charges against Wiley and Acosta stem from a shooting on June
9. At 12:38 am, patrol officers
responded to the first block of south Florida Avenue in reference to a
ShotSpotter alert. Responding officers located a shooting victim in the
2400 block of Pacific Avenue. The victim, a 40-year-old man from Oklahoma
City, OK, was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City
Division, with serious injuries. A second shooting victim, a 24-year-old
man from Newark, NJ, walked into the medical center to be treated for his
injury.
WANTED: Kareem Wiley,
20, of Philadelphia, PA.
CHARGES: Three counts
of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon
for an unlawful purpose, and conspiracy.
ARRESTED: Randy
Acosta, 32, of Philadelphia, PA.
CHARGES: Three counts
of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon
for an unlawful purpose, conspiracy, and certain person not to possess a weapon.
