Search Warrants Lead to Two Arrests, Drugs

On November 20, 2020, an investigation into the distribution
of narcotics from a high-rise apartment building resulted in the arrest of two
men and the recovery of a quantity of narcotics.
Detectives of the Special Investigations Section and Atlantic
City PD SWAT Team executed simultaneous search warrants at two apartments
inside the High Gate Apartments located in the 600 block of Absecon Boulevard. Knocumus Dixon and Tareef Lamar were arrested after
drugs were located in their apartment.
Detectives recovered more than 1,400 bags of heroin, 76 grams of
cocaine, and $5,787 in cash.
The month-long investigation was led by Detective Darrin
Lorady and stemmed from numerous complaints about the distribution of narcotics
within the building and on the property.
ARRESTED: Knocumus
Dixon, 30, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Two counts
each of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession with
intent to distribute CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500
feet of a public zone, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, and money
laundering.
ARRESTED: Tareef
Lamar, 27, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of
CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession with intent to distribute
CDS within 500 feet of a public zone, and contempt of court.
Both men were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice
Facility.
