UPDATE- One Arrested, One Sought in October Shooting

The Atlantic City Police Department is seeking the public’s
assistance in locating the suspect wanted for shooting a woman.
An investigation conducted by detectives of the Violent
Crimes Unit led to Yasin Sanders being criminally charged for his involvement
in a shooting that occurred on October 23, 2020. Sanders has not been arrested and is being
sought.
On October, 23 at 9:45 pm, patrol officers responded to the
400 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard in reference to a ShotSpotter
alert. A 25-year-old woman from Atlantic City suffered a graze
wound. She initially refused medical attention only to later be seen at
the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division.
An investigation by detectives revealed that there were two
handguns fired during the incident. One
by Sanders and another by a juvenile male.
The juvenile male is already in custody on an unrelated matter and was
served his charges.
WANTED: Yasin Sanders,
18, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Aggravated
assault (two counts), unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon
for an unlawful purpose, and conspiracy.
ARRESTED: A
15-year-old male from Bridgeton, NJ.
CHARGES: Aggravated
assault (two counts), unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon
for an unlawful purpose, and conspiracy.
The male was served with his charges at the Harborfields
Detention Facility.
