For Immediate Release:  January 28, 2021

On January 26, 2021, a man wanted for his involvement in a November shooting was arrested following an investigation from the Violent Crimes Unit.

At 12:18 pm, Officer Aaron Jones conducted a motor vehicle stop at Indiana and Bacharach Boulevard after observing the driver, Ibn Jones, and knowing that he had a warrant for his arrest.  Jones’s charges stem from the shooting of a man on November 9, 2020 that resulted in serious injuries to the victim.  The shooting occurred at Indiana and Baltic Avenues.  A concerned citizen drove the victim to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division. 

ARRESTED:  Ibn Jones, 31, of Atlantic City.

CHARGES:  Attempted murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and aggravated assault.

Jones was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
