Man Arrested with Handgun and Cocaine

On March 3, 2021, information led to the arrest of a man with
a handgun and drugs.
At 2:40 pm, Detectives James Barrett, Nicholas Berardis and
Chris Smith conducted a motor vehicle stop in the 1000 block of Sewell
Avenue. A concerned citizen had alerted
police that a man was selling narcotics and provided a detailed description of
the individual and his vehicle. The
detectives located the vehicle with Leshaun Spence driving. During the investigation, Spence was arrested
after being found in possession of a loaded handgun, more than four grams of
cocaine, and a digital scale.
ARRESTED: Leshaun
Spence, 24, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Unlawful possession
of a weapon, possession of CDS, possession with intent to disitrubte CDS, possession
of a weapon while committing a CDS offense, and possession of narcotic
paraphernalia.
Spence was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice
Facility. Charges are mere accusations,
and the accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
