Investigations Leads to Arrest and Drug Seizure

On April 1, 2020, a three-month investigation into the
distribution of narcotics resulted in the arrest of the target and the recovery
of various narcotics.
Detectives of the Special Investigations Section executed a
court authorized search warrant on a residence in the first block of south
Florida Avenue leading to the arrest of Chance Hamilton. Inside Hamilton’s residence, detectives
located 330 bags of heroin, 22 grams of cocaine, more than nine grams of
ecstasy, more than five ounces of marijuana, paraphernalia used in the
distribution of narcotics, and more than $2,100 in cash.
The investigation was led by Detective Darrin Lorady.
ARRESTED: Chance
Hamilton, 49, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Four counts
each of possession of CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, and possession
with intent to distribute CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone, and single counts
of money laundering and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.
Hamilton was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice
Facility. Charges are mere accusations,
and the accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
