On 05/26/21 @ 0600 a.m. officers responded to a report of shots fired inside an apartment complex located in 6300 block of Douglas Drive.  Upon arrival officers located evidence of bullets entering into several apartments.  Officers were able to determine that the shots fired came from inside a specific apartment.  The officers found the door to that apartment had been barricaded.  The Brooklyn Park SWAT team was called to the scene and entered the apartment locating two deceased adults.  Both individuals appear to have died from gunshot wounds.  The preliminary investigation leads detectives to believe that this incident was a murder suicide.  A homicide investigation is ongoing at this time.
