Three Arrested, Large Quantity of Cocaine and Handgun Recovered

For Immediate Release:  November 1, 2021

 

On October 30, 2021, three men were arrested, a large quantity of cocaine and a handgun recovered after a dispute between roommates.

At 9:11 AM, Officers Christian Ivanov and Scott Sendrick responded to the 600 block of Drexel Avenue in reference to a dispute between two men that led to one pointing a handgun at the other.

The officers spoke with Dennis Adkins who reported that Joe Desrosiers had pointed a handgun at his head during an argument.  Officers Ivanov and Sendrick, along with responding officers, ordered the occupants out of the residence that included Desrosiers and James Hill.  The investigation led to a search of the residence where officers located almost three pounds of cocaine, a loaded handgun, and paraphernalia used in the distribution of narcotics.  The recovered cocaine has a street value of approximately $40,000.  Desrosiers, Hill, and Adkins were arrested. 

ARRESTED:  Joe Desrosiers, 35, of Atlantic City.

CHARGES:  Possession of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public zone, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense, certain person not to possess a weapon, and possession of narcotic paraphernalia. 

ARRESTED:  Dennis Adkins, 59, of Atlantic City.

CHARGES:  Possession of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public zone, and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

 

ARRESTED:  James Hill, 62, of Atlantic City.

CHARGES:  Possession of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public zone, and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

All of the males were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.  Charges are mere accusations, and the accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
