For Immediate Release:  May 13, 2022

The Atlantic City Police Department announces that 20 Special Law Enforcement Officers, Class II have been elevated to police officer.  The new officers will be immediately assigned to the Operations Division.  "These 20 young men and women are a welcome addition to the Atlantic City Police Department," said Interim Officer in Charge James Sarkos.  "I am confident they will have impactful, meaningful and rewarding careers here in our great City."   

The ceremony was held at the Atlantic City Convention Center.  Mayor Marty Small Sr. administered the oath of office.
