On 05/15/22, at approximately 0720 am, Brooklyn Park Police was notified by the Osseo Police Department that a vehicle had fled from one of their officers at a high rate of speed and was last seen travelling south on County Road 81 into Brooklyn Park.  Shortly thereafter, Brooklyn Park Police was notified that the suspect vehicle had crashed into another occupied vehicle at Brooklyn Blvd and County Road 81.  The suspect had fled from the accident scene and an observant citizen contacted 911 to report the suspects location, where he was quickly apprehended.  The driver of the second vehicle was pronounced deceased by paramedics, and the passenger of this car was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.  The Brooklyn Park Police Department is actively investigating this incident.
