Separate Incidents Results in 3 Arrests, 2 Handguns and Drugs Recovered

On June 21 and June 22, 2022, Atlantic City Police Departments detectives arrested three individuals and recovered 2 handguns and drugs in separate incidents.


On June 21, 2022, at 4:20 PM, members of the Atlantic City Police Department’s Special Investigations Section conducted an investigation in the area of the 1300 block of Caspian Avenue. The investigation was a result of information Detective Alberto Valles received concerning a male armed with a handgun. Detectives Christian Ivanov, Christopher Dodson, Eric Evans, and Nicholas Berardis of the Special Investigations Section, observed a juvenile matching the description of the suspect walking northbound on South Carolina Avenue from Caspian Avenue. Upon approaching the male, a 17-year-old juvenile, he began to run from the detectives. A foot pursuit ensued and the juvenile was apprehended a short distance away. Detectives located a loaded handgun fitted with a high capacity magazine on the juvenile who was taken into custody without incident. The juvenile was also found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine.


ARRESTED: A 17-year-old juvenile from Atlantic City.


CHARGES:  Unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a high capacity magazine, resisting arrest, obstruction, possession of CDS, possession with the intent to distribute CDS, possession of CDS with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a public school, and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine within 500 feet of Public Housing.


The juvenile was remanded to Harborfields Juvenile Justice Facility. Charges are mere allegations and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.


On June 22, 2022, members of the Atlantic City Police Department’s Special Investigations Section conducted a surveillance operation in the first block of South Florida Avenue. During this operation, detectives observed Alan Rebollao and Josue Saez loitering in the area and taking part in several suspected illegal narcotics transactions. Detective Christopher Dodson also had information that a male matching the description of Rebollao was in possession of a handgun. Detective Dodson, along with Detectives Eric Evans, Christian Ivanov, and Nicholas Berardis, converged on Rebollao and Saez. Rebollao was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun fitted with a high capacity magazine. Both Rebollao and Saez were found to be in possession of 58 grams of suspected cocaine and approximately 30 grams of suspected heroin. They were taken into custody without incident. 


ARRESTED:  Alan Rebollao, 18, of Pleasantville, NJ.


CHARGES:  Unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a large capacity magazine, possession of a weapon while distributing CDS, possession of CDS (2 counts), possession of CDS with the intent to distribute (2 counts), possession of CDS paraphernalia, and possession of CDS within 1000 feet of a school (2 counts).


ARRESTED: Josue Saez, 21, of Atlantic City.


CHARGES: Possession of CDS, possession of CDS with the intent to distribute, possession of CDS within 1000 feet of a school, conspiracy to distribute CDS, and possession of CDS paraphernalia.


Rebollao was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Saez was released on a summons pending a future court date. Charges are mere allegations and the accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
