Case Assistance: Multiple motor vehicle burglaries
The Groesbeck Police Department has received multiple reports of burglarized vehicles with the offenses occurring during the night of July 7, 2022, and the early morning hours of July 8, 2022. The locations of the burglaries were in the 100 block Meadow Lane, 400 block Allison Avenue, 400 block West Colorado, 800 block West State, and the 1000 block McClintic. The items taken included cash and handguns. Most of the burglarized vehicles had been left unlocked by the owners.
We have obtained video surveillance of two suspects as they checked a homeowner’s vehicle but were unable to make entry due to the vehicles being locked. The first suspect wore what appeared to be a black hoodie, a black Nike brand backpack, black/grey plaid pants, and black sandals. The second suspect wore what appeared to be a black hoodie, light-grey jogger-style pants, and white shoes. Both suspects wore white face masks and black gloves.
Please remember to park your car in well-lit areas, remove your valuables, and keep your cars locked. We also ask that you continue to report any suspicious activity, especially during the overnight hours.
Please contact the Groesbeck Police Department at 254-729-3497 if you have any information or recognize either of the suspects. You may also remain anonymous by using our mobile tip411 app or by clicking below.
