On 1/25/23 at 3:06 p.m., Brooklyn Park officers were dispatched to a hit and run accident involving a school bus in the 8700 block of Edinbrook Crossing Brooklyn Park, MN. Officers arrived on scene and found a 6 year old child's lower extremities had been run over by a bus. The child is being treated at a local hospital for injuries that are not believed to be life threatening. Officers learned the child had been dropped off in a parking lot by a bus company. The bus driver initially left the scene. Officers have since been able to locate the bus and the bus driver. The incident is under active investigation by the Brooklyn Park Police Department and the MN State Patrol.
