On 6/09/23 at 7:45pm Brooklyn Park Officers responded to several reports of a large and rowdy group at River Park, 101 83rd Ave N.

When Officers arrived they found several hundred young people at two pavilions. Numerous fights started within the larger group and the decision was made to close the park. Brooklyn Park Officers requested assistance from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Department and the Minnesota State Patrol.

After leaving River Park, approximately 150-200 individuals went to Noble Sports Park at 4600 95th Ave N. There they continued the same or similar behavior. Brooklyn Park Officers responded to Noble Sports Park along with Hennepin County Deputies and Minnesota State Troopers. They were assisted by the State Patrol helicopter.

At 10pm the park officially closed and officers ordered everyone out of the park. All occupants left the park. This caused significant traffic problems and a prolonged police presence.
