On April 7, 2024, around 4:09 AM, Brooklyn Park Police responded to the area of Regent Ave N and Brookdale Dr N after receiving a report of someone being shot in the leg. Upon arrival, officers found the victim, who was receiving a ride from a friend after sustaining a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim's injury was determined to be non-life-threatening. Despite attempts to gather further information regarding the location and timing of the shooting, both the victim and the friend were not forthcoming with details. Officers received information from another law enforcement agency that this may be related to a recent shooting that occurred in the City of Golden Valley.
